Washington Nationals star outfielder Juan Soto really wants that MVP award.
The NL MVP runner up last year behind winner Bryce Harper, Soto is more than ready to take the field.
“Spring Training has officially started in Juan Soto’s (@JuanSoto25_) eyes so let’s take a quick check in on him and OH MY GOD,” MLB analyst Ben Verlander wrote via Twitter, with a video of Soto playing a game and taking a swing.

The video was uploaded to Soto’s Instagram account, and if the ball he hit wasn’t a home run, it came very, very close.
He hit it far, and high, and one can see he has been training on his own for some time now.
He claims he is ready and that spring training games are just starting, and he means it.
Players Are Getting Ready On Their Own And That’s Excellent
Soto is not the only player who has trained hard and gotten ready to play on his own: lots of MLB players are doing it, and they will reap the benefits later, when the lockout ends and spring training begins.
Those who are still on the couch doing nothing will take longer to get in shape, and their regular season numbers will suffer.
Not Soto, though.
The young man is clearly on a mission: last year, he slashed .313/.465/.534 with 29 home runs, 111 runs, and 95 RBI.
He put up a 6.6-WAR (Wins Above Replacement) season.
Here is hoping the league and the Players Association can reach a quick deal so we can get back to watching one of the game’s best players and arguably the best hitter in baseball.
