The Chicago Bears made a wise move to draft Kyler Gordon to help bulk up their secondary in 2022.
With the Bears secondary needing help, Gordon was the guy the team drafted to help their defense.
His solid performance in 2022 has fans raving over him.
But how good can he be in 2023 with the Bears?
Gordon Excels When In Zone Coverage
If the Bears stick with a zone coverage, Gordon can shine in 2023.
He’s already proven this season he can pick off the best quarterbacks in the NFL while playing zone coverage.
Kyler Gordon is improving. He has a GREAT feel for zone coverage and is one of the better tackling CB’s in the league. This Bears secondary will be dangerous once they get a pass rush. #DaBears #Bears #ChicagoBears pic.twitter.com/8TOKUIv5aA

However, if the defense gets some players to rush the quarterback, Gordon can have a dominant 2023 season.
His three interceptions so far during 2022 have him tied for 17th place.
But interceptions aren’t his only upside, as he can deflect passes and force fumbles.
While his 2022 season is solid, his 2023 season will come down to how the Bears’ defense can improve during the offseason.
Sky Is The Limit For Gordon If The Bears Improve Their Defensive Front
While Gordon is having good numbers in 2022, his 2023 season can see him soaring to new heights.
However, for this to happen, the Bears need a better defensive front to pressure quarterbacks.

When quarterbacks are under pressure, Gordon has a better chance of making interceptions.
His last two games are proof of this, as he has interceptions against Jalen Hurts and Josh Allen.
If the Bears use their offseason cap space to improve their front seven, he can easily double his interception totals.
