Juan Soto may have won the Home Run Derby last night, but that doesn’t mean that talks about him being traded at the deadline are going away.
The Washington Nationals star is going to be at the center of trade rumors for next several weeks until August 2 after he and the Nats were unable to agree on a 15-year, $440 million contract extension.
Former Nationals star and current shortstop of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Trea Turner, took note of the fact that Soto could be traded.
Baseball insider Jorge Castillo tweeted what Turner’s reaction was to the rumors, revealing that he had texted Soto about what was going on.

Where Will Soto Go?
After the All-Star break, the trade rumors begin to heat up, and that’s what’s going to happen yet again this year.
What seemed like an impossibility now seems like an inevitability.
The two sides were unable to agree on a big extension and now the Nats are looking to trade him.
You can bet that Turner is interested in these rumors, and he definitely wants to see Soto end up in a Dodgers uniform.
The Dodgers are a team that could definitely make a play to acquire the All-Star slugger.
Several teams are going to be interested and there will be rumors galore until the trade deadline comes, or at least until Soto is traded.
That could probably come at any time, either at or before the official deadline, which is August 2 at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.
We’ll see what happens over the next couple of weeks.
It’s going to be an exciting trade deadline for sure as the rumors begin to swirl.
