The Chicago Bears have everyone guessing what the team will do with their first overall draft pick for 2023.
While many see this draft class as a quarterback rich draft, fans feel the team won’t draft a quarterback.
With the investment they made in Justin Fields in 2020, fans see the Bears trading their pick for more draft capital.
However, a former general manager for the New York Jets is giving shocking draft advice for the Bears.
Mike Tannenbaum Says Bears Should Draft A QB
In a shocking statement, Mike Tannenbaum suggests the Bears should trade Fields and draft quarterback Bryce Young.

While the management in Chicago likes Fields, Tannenbaum feels it’s best to trade him to another team.
However, he feels the Bears can get multiple draft picks.
His feeling is they can get a first and third-round pick for the young quarterback.
But drafting a quarterback after the investment already made in their current quarterback makes little sense.
While it could happen, it makes more sense to trade the pick instead of trading Fields.
With multiple teams needing a quarterback, the Bears can build draft capital with their number one pick.
Multiple trades might see the Bears with two to three first-round picks for 2023.
However, it depends on which teams they trade with to determine how many picks the Bears can pick up in 2023.
Having three first-round picks for 2023 gives the Bears more flexibility for Fields than keeping the pick to use on Young.
With the 2023 NFL Draft starting on April 27th, fans have just over 15 weeks before they can see what Chicago does with their pick.
