After winning just six games this year, the Tennessee Titans fired Mike Vrabel as their head coach, resulting in a search for their next head coach.
On Monday, they found their man — Brian Callahan, who had been the Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive coordinator over the last five seasons, per Tom Pelissero.

With the Bengals, Callahan has gotten to the AFC Championship Game twice and the Super Bowl once.
These fans seem to like the move for Tennessee.
Good hire with Levis there as a possible developmental piece. Mcvay/Shanahan tree keeps growing

However, there are also those who feel this hire won’t go well.
Poor guy, this will be a colossal failure. Nobody else wanted this job. It’s clear. Bad ownership, bad front office, etc.

This fan seems to believe Callahan seemed to be a good offensive coordinator in Cincinnati only because of star quarterback Joe Burrow.
Why? There’s no Joe Burrow in Tennessee

The Titans have plenty of work to do personnel-wise this offseason in order to become competitive again.
Star running back Derrick Henry will be a free agent, and they have to decide whether to re-sign him, especially given how weak the market currently is for running backs.
They also have to evaluate rookie quarterback Will Levis moving forward and determine whether he is capable of becoming a franchise signal-caller.
Just four years ago, the Titans made it to the AFC Championship Game despite winning just nine regular-season games, but the first step for them will be to simply return to the playoffs in a division that has gotten more competitive.
The Houston Texans, this year’s AFC South winner, are rising quickly, as are the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Indianapolis Colts unexpectedly won nine games and nearly won the division this season.
