It also brings a new opportunity for second-year quarterback Justin Fields.
Eberflus and offensive coordinator Luke Getsy are working together to help Fields in his second year.
Getsy worked with Aaron Rodgers during his time in Green Bay, meaning the Bears have a great offensive mind coaching Fields.
With both coaches working with Fields during the offseason, it could mean promising results for 2022.
Eberflus Gives Fields A Better Coach To Work With
Most Bears fans remember the first start Fields got with the team.
It was against the Cleveland Browns.
Bears fans love to forget that day and never talk about it again.
However, looking at that game gives a better insight into how bad the 2021 season was for Chicago.
Fields wasn’t happy with Matt Nagy and his game plan against the Browns.
Trending: #Bears QB Justin Fields was “pissed off” by former HC Matt Nagy’s game plan for his 1st start, says his private QB coach Ron Veal:
“It was bad. He took a beating that day. I know he was a little pissed about it but I didn’t get an explanation”

He also suffered throughout his rookie season under Nagy.
Between injuries and poor play, Fields couldn’t catch a break in 2021.
However, the 2022 NFL season could make a difference to him in Chicago.
He’s got two coaches working on a friendly offensive scheme for him now.
That scheme could make a difference in his future performance with the Bears.
Can Luke Getsy Turn Fields Into An MVP Caliber Quarterback?
Getsy’s record as quarterback coach in Green Bay gives hope for Fields and the Bears in 2022.
He helped coach Rodgers during his two-time MVP reign in the NFL.
He is also seen as a good and steady coach Rodgers enjoyed working with.
From a source who worked with Luke Getsy:
*Calls him a good coach and a QB specialist.
*Describes him as real even-keeled. Steady in a good way.
*Says Aaron Rodgers liked working with him.#Bears

However, it is too early to say he can turn Fields into the next MVP in the NFL.
But he can mold Fields into a better quarterback.
He could get Fields to an MVP caliber level with time.
However, the Bears could get him that elite receiver to help his MVP chances.
Add that to the coaching Getsy gives him and his MVP chances increase.
Should The Bears Get A Receiver In The 2022 Draft For Fields?
The Bears don’t have a pick until the second-round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
They could trade up for a receiver.
But trading up comes at a high price in the 2022 NFL Draft.
They might be better off waiting until the 2023 NFL Draft for a receiver.
However, this year’s draft has some great receivers to choose from.
Trading up for an elite receiver might be a move the Bears need to consider since they have no clear top receiver.
But they could also wait for a sleeper pick.
Kyle Phillips could make for a great addition to the Bears roster.
What he lacks in speed and size, he makes up for with work ethic and route running.
With that comparison, it would be wise for Chicago to draft him in 2022.
A player of that caliber would help Fields during his time in Chicago.
