With less than two months to go before the start of the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the quarterbacks that are expected to be taken in the first round are starting to get analyzed for anything and everything they will potentially bring to the table for an NFL franchise.
At this point in time, USC’s Caleb Williams is getting all the buzz as the projected No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft, with the consensus being that he’s the most talented player in the draft and a potential superstar on the NFL level.
The only question moving forward is whether he wants to play for the Chicago Bears, who own the No. 1 pick and are known for being a franchise that has never been able to get the quarterback position right during the team’s history.
Even though the Bears have had success throughout their history, the team has never had a superstar quarterback leading the charge, and they will have the ideal opportunity to potentially bring one in with Williams.
Kevin Clark of ESPN claims that Williams is saying all the right things when it comes to playing for the Bears, as the USC star is willing to take the challenge of being the franchise’s first superstar, via “Around the Horn.”

With Williams embracing the challenge to play for a franchise that has never been able to get the quarterback position right, it may now be a foregone conclusion that he’s drafted by Chicago with a Justin Fields trade likely on the horizon.
Only time will tell if Williams can be successful in Chicago and whether it’s the right move for the franchise.
