The Chicago Bears have a lot of room with their salary cap for the 2023 NFL season.
With over $120 million in space, they have money to burn this upcoming offseason.
However, it will be important for them to use their money wisely on players.
With free agency being the place to go, which two players can they sign with their large amount of cap space?
Orlando Brown Jr.
Quarterback Justin Fields needs a proven blindside blocker to protect him.
However, he needs a blocker who can protect a scrambling quarterback.
With Orlando Brown Jr., the Bears can finally give Fields the protection he needs.
The start of his 2022 season saw him initially holding out for a long-term deal from the Kansas City Chiefs.
From Inside Training Camp Live on @nflnetwork: #Chiefs LT Orlando Brown will not report to training camp tonight. No surprise, as this has been the expectation. So don’t expect Brown anytime soon in St. Joseph, MO, he tweeted without hesitation @AndrewSiciliano @RapSheet pic.twitter.com/TwBWEOB51S

However, he went along with the Chiefs and is playing on a franchise tag.
But 2023 could see him walking away, and hopefully into the arms of the Bears during their offseason.
Roquan Smith
The trade of Roquan Smith was the shocker of Bears fans in 2022.
However, the trade might pay off in retrospect.
With Smith in the last year of his rookie contract, he becomes a free agent in 2023.
If the Bears had a devious plot to re-acquire Smith, then trading him to the Baltimore Ravens was the perfect plan.
With them having Lamar Jackson being a candidate for the franchise tag, the Bears know they can tag both Smith and Jackson.
Since Smith loves the city of Chicago, and it’s fanbase, it’s possible he makes a return to the Windy City.
The Bears have the money to get him back, and just need to pull the trigger on a deal.
