Albert Pujols has wasted no time making the St. Louis Cardinals and their fans love him again.
Of course, they never stopped loving him, but when he hit his first home run since returning to the Cards last night against the Kansas City Royals, it was almost like he had never left St. Louis in the first place.
When Pujols returned to the dugout after trotting around the bases, he had a friend waiting for him.
Future Hall-of-Fame catcher Yadier Molina was getting the night off, with backup catcher Andrew Knizner drawing a rare start.
But when Pujols approached Molina, the two did a little handshake before giving each other a bear hug.

Brothers Reunited
Pujols and Molina are the perfect pair.
They’re the best friend duo that we need in this world and it’s good to see thing hugging it out and acting as if the time that took place while Pujols was in Los Angeles hadn’t even happened.
Pujols often refers to Molina as his “little brother” and last night we got to see these two brothers pick right up where they left off when Pujols originally departed St. Louis.
These two truly are brothers.
Not biologically of course, but their friendship still permeates throughout the city of St. Louis and the entire baseball world.
2022 is going to be the final year in the big leagues for both of them and the two are going to make sure they embrace every moment of it, as are Cardinals fans.
The message is simple.
Find the Yadier Molina to your Albert Pujols.
These two are the gold standard for best friends and will go down as legends in St. Louis and in the game of baseball as a whole.
