Home runs are the most magical thing about baseball.
For hitters, there is no feeling like hitting a ball at the right spot, at the right velocity, and at the right time.
However, for fans, it’s the most exciting and thrilling play of all.
You can know it by the way they react to it.
On Friday afternoon, Cleveland Guardians starter Shane Bieber was so good on the mound that the only thing he needed to win the ballgame was this two-run shot by Jose Ramirez:

October energy at its finest.
Cleveland fans are probably hungrier for a championship than any other franchise.
They haven’t won a Fall Classic since 1948, and they hadn’t won a playoff game since 2017…until today.
The Guardians were playing at home at Progressive Field against the Tampa Bay Rays: they returned to the playoffs after a one-year hiatus, and this time, they started off on the right foot.
Cleveland Won Behind Ramirez’s Magical Blast
Cleveland beat the Tampa Bay Rays, 2-1, to take the lead in the best-of-three Wild Card series.
Shane McClanahan had dominated the Guardians hitters, but Ramirez got one to hit and sent it over the fence to take a 2-1 lead.
The score wouldn’t move anymore.
In the video, you can see people standing up to take a good look at J-Ram’s majestic blast as it barely made it over the wall.
Once people made sure the ball was out of reach for the center fielder, they started jumping, celebrating, screaming, and waving their towels.
The moment was pure magic: collective happiness couldn’t be scripted any better.
Now, Cleveland will get the chance to advance to the Division Series against the New York Yankees with a win tomorrow.
