The MLB regular season has come to a close and that means a few legends will step away from the game.
Miguel Cabrera and Adam Wainwright are two notable names that will head into retirement.
But, there is also a legendary manager that had his last game in the dugout on Sunday.
Cleveland Guardians manager Terry Francona has announced his retirement from baseball.
Not many managers had an impact on the game and its players like Francona.
He was always a players-first manager and that brought his teams plenty of success.
MLB sent out a tweet showing love to Francona and the success of his career.
Terry Francona was one of the best managers of his generation.
Cheers to a great career, Tito. pic.twitter.com/SL4wNDZ6kq

He won 1,950 games as a manager, which is 13th all-time.
Also, he is a two-time World Series champion with the Boston Red Sox.
Including one year when his Red Sox had to overcome a 3-0 deficit to the New York Yankees in the ALCS.
Francona won the 2016 AL pennant with the Guardians.
He took them one game away from winning the World Series.
Not many managers had the long-term impact that Francona did during his career.
He always found a way to get the best out of his teams.
There is no question his presence will be missed inside the Guardians dugout.
The next time we see Francona should be at his induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
You cannot tell the history of baseball without mentioning Francona and his success.
He should head into retirement with his head held high after all he did for the game.
