There was a time when Victor Oladipo of the Miami Heat was considered one of the best young players in the league and someone who could go on to have a Hall of Fame career.
But after multiple injuries that have slowed his career, Oladipo is now struggling to carve his way back into the NBA and make himself known again.
It remains to be seen if he can pull it off but Oladipo is definitely determined to try.
Not long ago, Victor Oladipo seemed poised to become a perennial All-Star.

Speaking to The Athletic, Oladipo opened up about his journey to the league once again.
Oladipo laid it out plainly, stating he has big plans for himself:
“I know when I’m right and I’m 100 percent physically what I’m capable of doing, so I don’t have to worry about anything but getting healthy. I still plan on being really, really, really good at this game and I still plan on being one of the greats.”
But Oladipo also made another, more heartbreaking comment about the injuries that have sidelined his career, claiming that “the game, the world, kind of forgot about me.”
Is the NBA world ready to welcome Oladipo back?
Road To Recovery
The last time that Oladipo played a full season was back in 2017-18.
During that time, he was red hot, creating 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and an amazing 2.4 steals a game.
But a ruptured right quad led to Oladipo once again being benched.
After so much time away, Oladipo is finally playing again although he is nowhere near the level he wants to be.
In his first games back, Oladipo has averaged 6.7 points, 3 assists, and 1.7 rebounds.
Based on the comments he just made, it’s obvious that Oladipo will not rest until he’s producing a lot more of his team.
And if he does, the Heat will be even more dangerous.
