For two decades, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were the ruling force in the National Football League.
Brady’s departure from Foxboro was as shocking as it was heartbreaking to some.
Nonetheless, those who were behind the scenes weren’t that surprised, as this divorce with Bill Belichick was years in the making.
Notably, as pointed out by The Athletic, the new Apple TV+ documentary sheds light on how broken beyond repair his relationship with his head coach was.
As a matter of fact, Brady even assured that he wouldn’t sign another contract with the Patriots even if he wanted to play until he was 50.
“I wasn’t going to sign another contract (in New England) even if I wanted to play until (I was) 50,” Brady said.
More than anything, the Apple TV+ documentary detailing the Patriots' dynasty feels like a referendum on how bad the Brady-Belichick relationship got, writes @ChadGraff.

Brady reportedly felt disrespected by Belichick, who never seemed to acknowledge how vital he was in the six Super Bowl rings they won together.
Brady went on to win another Super Bowl ring in his very first season without Belichick, all while the coach couldn’t even win a single playoff game without his star quarterback.
Now, he’s not even employed, and millions of fans question his legacy and whether he was as good as they thought or just a byproduct of Brady’s greatness.
