As the NBA season goes on and the Minnesota Timberwolves get closer and closer to reaching the playoffs, they are contemplating ways that they can get even better.
On Saturday morning, Shams Charania reported that the Timberwolves are planning to sign free agent T.J. Warren to a 10-day contract, pending a physical examination early this week.
Warren, an eight-year veteran who has played for the Phoenix Suns, Indiana Pacers, and Brooklyn Nets, most recently averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds for the Suns last season.

Warren has had some injury problems since the 2020 season but recently said that he is 100% healed from the foot issues that he had.
The Timberwolves are hoping that Warren can assist them offensively and give them more scoring options as the postseason quickly approaches.
Although the Timberwolves are the best team in the Western Conference, they could still improve their second unit and Warren would have a part in that.
During his career, he has averaged 50.6% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point line, although there is a chance that his shot-making skills from downtown are better now that his body is healed.
On Friday night, the Timberwolves were taken down by the Sacramento Kings in a tough overtime loss.
They next face the Los Angeles Clippers, Portland Trail Blazers, and Indiana Pacers in the week ahead.
Despite some people thinking they wouldn’t be able to, the Timberwolves have sat atop the Western Conference for weeks now and seem like they could hold onto that position until the start of the postseason.
However, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets are hot on their heels and could overtake them.
The addition of Warren starts as just a 10-day contract, but could it be extended if he does well?
