With all the finalists for the major MLB awards having been revealed, we are now down to just one week before each of the winners are announced.
The National League MVP Award is an interesting race, as it features two St. Louis Cardinals teammates in Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt along with Manny Machado.
On Twitter, MLB Network posted a graphic featuring the stats of the three MVP candidates.
Based off of the stats, the NL MVP Award is very much up for grabs, as the three sluggers are close in almost every single category.
Each are close in WAR, RBI, and home runs.

NL MVP Race Up For Grabs
Goldschmidt looks to be the favorite, if a favorite is to be determined.
The Cards’ slugger hit 35 home runs and drove in 115 runs while posting an OPS of .981 and a WAR of 7.8.
Goldschmidt leads in every category except for WAR, where his Cardinals teammate in Arenado barely edged him out with a 7.9 WAR.
Machado trails the two Cardinals sluggers in WAR and RBI.
Machado hit 32 homers and drove in 102 runs while posting a WAR of 6.8 and an OPS of .898.
Arenado on the other hand, drove in 103 runs and hit 30 homers, while posting an OPS of .891.
The winners of each award will be announced next week on MLB Network.
The MVP Awards will be announced on Thursday, November 17, with Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year, and Cy Young, preceding them in the prior three days, respectively.
The race for the NL MVP Award is neck and neck between the three sluggers in the running.
