The NFL has stood witness to a number of iconic music themes throughout its history.
Who could forget the Monday Night Football theme that has been a staple for decades?
Likewise, there’s Hank Williams Jr.’s limitless renditions of “Are You Ready For Some Football.”
Fast forward to 2022 and Amazon Prime Video has commissioned Turkish-American composer Pinar Toprak to write the theme for the platform’s Thursday Night Football coverage.

The recording with a full orchestra was done at Ocean Way in Nashville, Tennessee.
Toprak said in the accompanying video, “What we’re doing today is something very special and I’m so honored that I was asked to write a new Thursday Night Football theme. Hopefully, it’s gonna be something that will be part of everyone’s Thursday night for the next 30 years or so.”
The 41-year-old composer is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee School of Music.
The Accompanying Video Is A Must-Watch For Football Fans
While the theme is playing, Amazon included a video with highlights from the previous season.
It’s the type of video that will pump up any football fan for the upcoming campaign.
Hearing the voices of analyst Kirk Herbstreit and the legendary Al Michaels adds an elegant touch to the graphic.
After watching that video set to that theme music, you will be counting the days before the 2022 season kicks off.
The NFL and Amazon finalized their 11-year media rights deal before the 2021 season.
Reports claim that Amazon will be paying the league $1 billion annually to broadcast Thursday Night Football games.
The agreement will also include two Super Bowls and will run until 2033.
