The Philadelphia Eagles have built upon their playoff experience last season by building up their roster.
On defense, they brought in playmakers like James Bradberry and Haason Reddick.
They also brought in the likes of Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis via the 2022 NFL Draft.
But they did not stop there by giving more targets around quarterback Jalen Hurts.
The Eagles already have one of the best backfield units with Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell, and Boston Scott.
They have also upgraded their passing game by trading for A.J. Brown and giving him a four-year, $100 million contract.
With him in the fold, Eagles insider Louie DiBiase had a bold claim about him and DeVonta Smith.
I’m gonna say it right now

DiBiase tweeted, “I’m gonna say it right now. The #Eagles have the best WR duo in the NFL. No team has a more complete duo then A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. None.”
He does have a point because both players had solid numbers last season.
Brown had 63 receptions for 869 yards and five touchdowns while Smith had 916 yards and five touchdowns.
They offer various approaches to the passing game with Brown more of the big-guy target.
Meanwhile, Smith can blaze through defenders to make the deep catch.
They can feed off each other’s talent to improve on their numbers.
With them together, it’s possible for them to finish over 1,000 receiving yards apiece.
The Challenge Is With Hurts
Now that he has the pieces around him like Smith and Brown, Hurts must also step up and deliver.
He must also become a constant threat in the passing game.
Aside from those two receivers, the Eagles will also benefit from the emerging Quez Watkins.
That said, things are looking up for the Eagles as long as they make the pieces work.
