The Miami Marlins have opened a beautiful new facility in the Dominican Republic.
The new 35-plus acre facility opened on Friday, and it features three different baseball fields.
As the Marlins described it on Twitter, the facility is “built with everything a player needs to continue their professional development on the field and personal growth in the classroom.”
Within the Marlins’ tweet about the facility is a video tour of the place itself and what it consists of, which gives fans a look at the baseball fields present within the academy and the training facilities that have been built around those fields.

Marlins Open New Academy
This is a cool looking facility.
The Marlins opened this facility back on Friday and it appears to be every bit as good as advertised.
The fields look nice and new and there look to be several training areas built around those fields and the facility itself.
It also appears to have learning centers for players who attend the academy.
It would seem that this academy has a little bit of everything for players in the Dominican Republic who seek to fulfill their dreams of becoming big leaguers.
This is a big step for the Marlins organization that has always made it a priority to engage with the Hispanic community.
Now, they have a place in the Dominican Republic where engagement with the Hispanic community could be beneficial for young, up-and-coming players who may find themselves at the academy at any point during the offseason.
