Recently, MLB Now has been counting down the Top 10 players at each position.
Next up on the list is starting pitchers.
That list will be revealed at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
While we wait for that list to be presented, it’s worth checking out the fans’ Top 10 starters list.
And at the top of the list is the reigning National League Cy Young Award winner in Miami Marlins ace Sandy Alcantara.
The 27-year-old got the start for the National League in the All-Star Game and posted a 2.28 ERA in 228.2 innings of work, winning 14 games along the way.
The fans’ list can be seen in the tweet below.

Alcantara may in fact be the best starting pitcher in all of baseball.
The Marlins do truly have something special in him and took full advantage of the package the St. Louis Cardinals offered them in exchange for Marcell Ozuna.
Much to the displeasure of St. Louis fans, that deal has worked out quite well for the Marlins, who clearly got the better end of the deal.
But at just 27, the young right-hander still has room to grow and could potentially be even better in 2023.
The Marlins do of course have a stacked rotation with him at the top.
This is the piece that the Marlins are likely going to build around as they look to take steps towards relevance in 2023.
And it’s easy to see why fans have Alcantara at the top.
Jacob deGrom, Justin Verlander, Framber Valdez, and Shohei Ohtani are also on the list.
