The Russell Wilson who has suited up for the Denver Broncos this season hasn’t even remotely resembled the Wilson who led the Seattle Seahawks for 10 seasons, especially the iteration who got them a Super Bowl ring in the 2013 campaign.
His stat line this season is poor, as he has completed just 60.1 percent of his passes, has thrown only 12 touchdown passes against nine interceptions and has a passer rating of 82.6.
But it gets even worse than that.
In the Los Angeles Rams’ 51-14 thrashing of Denver on Sunday, Wilson threw three picks and was sacked six times, which resulted in by far the worst QBR in any single game of his career.

One would have to agree that a QBR of 3.6 is very embarrassing for any NFL quarterback, but especially for one who has made the Pro Bowl nine times and will be, in all likelihood, a first-ballot Hall of Famer when he hangs up his cleats for good.
Somehow, it has seemed like the Broncos have been continually hitting a new look as this season has worn on.
Did The Broncos Make A Mistake By Trading For Wilson?
Ever since Peyton Manning retired following Super Bowl 50, the Broncos’ QB1 spot has been a game of musical chairs.
When they acquired Wilson during the offseason, they thought they had found their savior.
Denver gave up a lot to get him, jettisoning five draft picks and a serviceable tight end in Noah Fant, and it also gave Wilson a hefty five-year contract extension upon his arrival.
The return on this immense investment has been scanty, to say the least.
The sunk cost fallacy seems to apply here, but if the Broncos were to try to trade Wilson (which is hard to imagine happening anyway), who would be willing to receive him, not to mention his big contract?
It is starting to look like the Wilson trade is one of the worst decisions in Broncos history and possibly NFL history.
