Drake Maye from the University of North Carolina is expected to be one of the first three quarterbacks taken in the NFL Draft when it commences in late April.
At 6-foot-5 and 220 pounds, he is a fairly impressive physical specimen, and in addition to his passing ability, he can move the chains with his legs.
Some have compared him to Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen, and he feels it is “an honor” to be compared to Allen, per SiriusXM NFL Radio.

Many people have Maye third on their draft board among quarterbacks, and assuming Caleb Williams goes at No. 1, that would mean Maye would likely become a member of the Washington Commanders or New England Patriots.
Of course, that could change if a team trades up or down, or if a team with one of the top two picks elects to go for someone such as wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. instead of a signal-caller.
The hope is that this year’s draft will be one of the best ever when it comes to QBs, much like 2020 when Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, and Justin Herbert went in the first six picks, or even the 1983 draft.
The 1983 draft crop included legends such as John Elway, Jim Kelly, and Dan Marino.
This year’s crop also includes second-tier quarterbacks such as J.J. McCarthy and Michael Penix Jr., both of whom are also intriguing in their own right.
