The fight for the worst team in the NFC South is down to two teams.
Both teams in the running for the title of the worst team have made some bad moves.
However, the Carolina Panthers have made some moves that are making their fans angry.
Those fans have every right to be angry this summer, as the team has provided minor improvements for the team.
Even when the team thought they were making the right moves, fans were still angry.
So what is it they are doing so wrong that has the fans rightfully angry?
Carolina Has Made A Mess Of Their Quarterback Situation
After trading for Sam Darnold last season, Carolina is already looking to jump off the Darnold bandwagon and onto another quarterback.
However, they can’t even commit to who they really want as their quarterback.
It started off with the team trying to trade for Deshaun Watson, something that split the Carolina fanbase.
The good news is that Carolina dodged a bullet with him.
But they still showed they didn’t want Darnold as their guy.
The next move they made was to draft Matt Corral.
However, they aren’t committing to him either.
They are now trying to trade for Baker Mayfield, who in reality is Darnold in disguise.
As minicamps begin today for the Browns and Panthers, trade talks between the teams continue surrounding QB Baker Mayfield, per sources. The main issue remains Mayfield's salary and how much (or how little) teams pay.

Mayfield only succeeded in Cleveland because of the weapons he had and their great defense.
This shows the total mess the Panthers’ management has made with their quarterback situation.
Panthers Didn’t Get A Running Back To Replace Christian McCaffrey
While fans love Christian McCaffrey, his health has been an issue with the team.
Injuries have prevented him from finishing multiple NFL seasons.
Okay? So he's the Greg Oden of the NFL. He'll never see his full potential because he can't stay on the field. Look at Christian McCaffrey. Same thing. So yes, I do understand upside but I also understand consistency and injury avoidance 🤗. Have a good day.

Outstanding talent doesn’t help a team when they are on the bench and unable to play.
That’s why the Panthers should have thought about replacing their running back.
However, they felt his progress with rehab will help bring him back stronger than before.
If he can remain healthy, then Carolina needs to use him to help whoever they put in as quarterback.
But if they don’t use him like they should, or if he gets injured, Carolina fans will be angry over this.
Dysfunction And Confusion With Players And Coaches Should Anger Fans
You can’t put together a winning team if there’s confusion and dysfunction with players and coaches.
We have seen this with the Panthers all offseason.
They had a receiver talking about retiring, only to delete that tweet.
They also had a coach who named Darnold the starting quarterback in a press conference, only to take it back.
So with things like this, it doesn’t bode well for Carolina in 2022.
It also doesn’t give fans the confidence they want from their players and coaching staff with what they do and say.
Without consistency, these people are setting the team up for failure.
That’s one of the worst things they can do to their team and fans.
With less than three months until the regular season starts, the Panthers have limited time to fix their problems for their fans.
