Nolan Arenado will be making his return to Team USA in the World Baseball Classic next month.
The St. Louis Cardinals third baseman was on hand for Team USA’s ultimate victory in the 2017 tournament.
He’ll be joined on the American National Team by his former Colorado Rockies teammate Trevor Story and current Cardinals teammates Adam Wainwright, Miles Mikolas, and Paul Goldschmidt.
Naturally, the 10-time Gold Glover and MVP finalist is excited to get going again and to play in the Classic.
Recently, the star third baseman discussed what his goals for the Classic are and his motivation to achieve those goals.

With Team USA having won the title back in 2017, Arenado is looking for a repeat performance.
He’ll have a chance to help lead the Americans to another WBC title alongside Goldschmidt, who was his teammate in 2017, and several other current and former teammates.
The WBC was set to be played again in 2021, but was unfortunately pushed back to 2023 as a result of the pandemic.
But six years after their title, Team USA is looking to do it again with a slightly different cast of characters.
Arenado is still around though, and he remembers the epic journey to the championship.
He wants more and so does the rest of Team USA, which will be loaded with other stars such as Mike Trout, Trea Turner, Jeff McNeil, Kyle Tucker, Pete Alonso, and more.
There will be some stiff competition.
It’s going to be a wild month of March as we watch the WBC unfold.
