The St. Louis Cardinals are a team that is no stranger to Gold Glove-worthy defense.
After all, they boast the best corner infield duo in all of baseball and had Yadier Molina behind the plate for 19 years.
Last season, five players on the team’s roster won Gold Glove Awards.
The Platinum Glove, however, is even more prestigious than the Gold Glove, as it is given to the best of the Gold Glove winners in their respective leagues.
For the sixth straight year, Nolan Arenado will be taking home that honor in the National League in addition to having won a Gold Glove in each of his first 10 seasons.

Arenado Earns Platinum Glove
Arenado is also an MVP candidate in the National League.
But thus far, it’s his standout defense that has been earning him some well-deserved recognition.
Arguably the best defensive third baseman in all of baseball, Arenado joined his teammate in rookie Brendan Donovan as one of two Cardinals to win Gold Gloves in 2022.
He also shares the diamond with arguably the best defensive first baseman in all of baseball, Paul Goldschmidt.
But as the years go by, Arenado continues to cement himself as one of the finest defensive players the game has ever seen.
The Cardinals are of course no stranger to the Platinum Glove.
Molina won four Platinum Glove Awards during his career.
Arenado is simply following in a Cardinal great’s footsteps with his defensive prowess.
Catcher Jose Trevino of the New York Yankees won the award in the American League.
