The Kansas City Chiefs proved their doubters wrong throughout the whole season.
Some claimed that Tyreek Hill’s departure was the first nail in their coffin, stating that there was no way Patrick Mahomes would be able to keep up that production.
Others were unfazed by their mid-tier signing in the offseason, claiming that no team with so many rookies could go the distance in the stacked AFC West.
Even when they reached the Super Bowl, oddsmakers favored the Philadelphia Eagles, and most analysts stated that Jalen Hurts would get the last laugh.
Needless to say, Travis Kelce kept his receipts and wanted to remind everybody that you may never count them out, calling out the media and those who don’t respect the Chiefs.
Of course, those comments didn’t sit well with countless fans, stating that no one was actually sleeping on the Chiefs this season and that Kelce’s underdog mentality was unjustified.
Travis Kelce, let’s calm down with the “nobody respects the Chiefs” angle… Come on, guy 😂😂

Travis Kelce needs to stop with this thing where no one said the Chiefs were going to win it. That’s ridiculous.

lol @ Travis Kelce claiming “no one” believed the top-seeded Chiefs led by a HOF QB could win a Super Bowl

I'm all for guys playing with a chip on their shoulder, but it gets more and more absurd hearing guys like Travis Kelce saying that not a single person picked the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. I simply don't think that's true!

Maybe the truth is somewhere in between here.
It is a fact that several talking heads and analysts didn’t think the Chiefs had what it took to reach the ultimate stage again, especially sans Tyreek Hill.
But it’s also true that no team in the league has ever taken the Chiefs lightly, knowing that Mahomes is a generational talent and that they have arguably the greatest tight end of all time.
Even so, Kelce has earned his bragging rights, so the rest of the league will just have to deal with whatever he has to say until he’s dethroned.
