The Kansas City Chiefs made a surprising move ahead of the 2022 season.
They couldn’t agree to a contract extension with Tyreek Hill, so they traded him to the Miami Dolphins.
By all accounts, this was a shocking move to fans and analysts alike.
Hill and the Chiefs seemed to be a great pairing for all parties involved, and his on-field connection with Patrick Mahomes was second to none.
After losing Hill, many believed the Chiefs wouldn’t be able to win another Super Bowl, even with Mahomes as their quarterback.
However, they found a way to get the job done, winning the past two championships.
Hill recently appeared on the “Millions Worth of Game” podcast, where he was asked about the Chiefs’ success without him.
“I’m cool now, but the first year it was kind of hard,” Hill said.

Hill also indicated that he and his wife went to Tokyo during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run in their first season without him.
It was difficult for him to watch his former team succeed without him, which is why he went on a trip that was far away from the United States.
However, things changed in the Chiefs’ most recent title, as he discussed that he cheered for his former teammates, even congratulating them via text and social media.
Even though the Chiefs have won the past two Super Bowls without Hill, their current roster is in desperate need of a wide receiver or two, making it an interesting offseason for them as they approach the draft.
