No one, not even the most optimistic Kansas City Chiefs fan, ever dreamed of Patrick Mahomes being nearly half as good as he is.
The Texas Tech product took the league by storm right out of the gate, turning the Chiefs into the biggest threat in the AFC year in and year out.
So, after three Super Bowl trips and two wins in the past four years, sports analyst Max Kellerman believes Pat has a shot at becoming the NFL’s Michael Jordan.
Kellerman argues that there are several parallels between the two legends, although he noticed no one in the NFL has kind of transcended the sport the way Jordan did.
However, his colleague Keyshawn Johnson doesn’t seem to agree, nor does Jay Williams.
Per Williams, no one in the NFL will be like Jordan from a product standpoint, as football is more of a team sport, and the NBA tends to glorify the individual.
Johnson, on the other hand, believes Jordan’s perfection is something that cannot be obtained, regardless of who he is.

Truth be told, Mahomes is a Hall of Famer already, and he has a strong case for being considered the most talented quarterback to ever grace the face of the Earth.
As for the Jordan comparisons, that might not be accurate.
For starters, Mahomes already lost to Tom Brady — who some might agree would be a better comp — in the Super Bowl, while His Airness never lost in the NBA Finals.
Moreover, Pat will first need to get past Peyton Manning, Joe Montana, and the aforementioned Brady before sitting on Jordan’s table.
He might be the only player with a shot at doing that, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves.
