The World Baseball Classic was certainly a treat.
We got to see some fun battles between players that are normally teammates during the MLB regular season.
However, what may get lost in all the drama is how much fun the players were having during the tournament.
Adam Wainwright especially was having a good time.
The two-time World Series champion with the St. Louis Cardinals pitched admirably during the Classic, providing two four-inning, one-run outings.
But when he was on the bench, he had some fun making conversation with his new teammates.
On Twitter, MLB on FOX provided some audio clips of Wainwright in the dugout during the tournament.

Wainwright started by giving a full disclosure and revealing to his teammates that he was in fact mic’d up.
The veteran right-hander also asked if Los Angeles Angels slugger and three-time AL MVP Mike Trout had a nickname, stating that it would be weird to just call him “Trout.”
He also stated that calling him “Mikey” wouldn’t be right because he’s too big and strong.
Wainwright later referenced the home run he gave up to Trayce Thompson during his start against Great Britain, asking J.T. Realmuto why he kept telling pitchers to give up first-inning homers.
Realmuto jokingly replied that once you give up a home run, all the nerves are gone and a pitcher can then settle into a groove.
The video ended with Wainwright asking Bobby Witt Jr. if the two had hugged yet, with Witt going straight in for the hug.
