Tuesday night was a bad one for the Dallas Mavericks.
The team expected to take down the Los Angeles Clippers – who had lost six games in a row – with total ease.
Instead, they left LA utterly defeated after losing 113-101 at Crypto.com Arena.
It was a painful turn of events for the Mavs, who again showed their weaknesses.

Mark Cuban, the billionaire owner of the team, sat courtside during the game and his face in the closing seconds said it all.
He was not looking pleased with the performance of his franchise – and he wasn’t alone in that sentiment.
The Mavericks have one of the best NBA players alive, Luka Doncic, yet they are still experiencing some of the same problems they have had for years.
Namely, the squad is sometimes shockingly thin aside from Doncic.
On Tuesday night, Doncic was once again looking very gifted with a double-double of 43 points and 11 assists.
Meanwhile, Tim Hardaway Jr was the player who scored the second-most points but he only put up 16.
Doncic might be having an MVP season but he needs more help and that has been clear for some time.
There was hope that Christian Wood could be that help and head coach Jason Kidd has given in to fan demands and is now having Wood start in games alongside Doncic.
He does provide great assistance to Doncic but there are still more holes that need to be filled apparently.
The trade deadline is approaching so the Mavericks will need to think up some big deals if they want to shake up the roster and give Doncic more reliable stars.
Cuban is obviously upset but what will his team’s front office do about it?
