The Dallas Mavericks are one of the hottest teams in the league right now.
They’ve been much better since trading for PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford, and it finally seems like they’re fulfilling Jason Kidd’s vision.
Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic are on a roll, and they’re having a great time playing together.
As a matter of fact, Doncic doesn’t feel like he’s the alpha dog in Dallas anymore.
Following their big win over the Sacramento Kings, the former Real Madrid star claimed that he’s now the Robin to Kyrie’s Batman (Via NBA on TNT and Legion Hoops).

Of course, no one actually believes he feels that way.
Irving has repeatedly stated that the Mavericks are Doncic’s team, and his usage continues to be the highest.
There was never a doubt that Irving and Doncic could be the faces of one of the most explosive offenses in the league, and they just needed to add some good defenders around them.
The team doubled down on that vision in the offseason, and it’s paid off big time.
They might still be a couple of steps below some NBA championship contenders, but anything can happen when you have two talents of that caliber sharing the court.
Doncic has even made big strides on the defensive end of the floor, and while he might never be a good defender, he’s at least not a liability anymore, as he’s in putting in some effort there.
There are some tweaks to make still, but don’t sleep on the Mavs.
Will Batman and Robin get past The Joker? We’ll have to stay tuned in.
