Depending on where you live, mowing lawn can be nearly a year-round event.
No matter how much you look forward to or detest the chore, there will be a new entry in the gaming market for lawn mowing.
Curve Digital has announced an August 10 release date for its newest game called Lawn Mowing Simulator.
Here is a sneak peak courtesy of the game’s trailer.
What Is Lawn Mower Simulator?

First of all, this new release should not be confused with Steam’s Mowing Simulator which is already on the market.
Lawn Mowing Simulator promises to be bigger and better.
There are 12 real-world mowers to choose from, and they are from reputable manufacturers such as Toro, SCAG and STIGA.
The developer describes the Lawn Mower Simulator experience as follows:
Players will have an opportunity to “experience the beauty and detail of mowing the Great British countryside” courtesy of “the only simulator that allows you to ride an authentic and expansive roster of real-world licensed lawnmowers from prestigious manufacturers.”
The object of the game is to go beyond mowing random properties and to build and develop a virtual lawn care business.
In fact, there are equestrian fields, castle grounds, cottage greens, and gardens to be tended to.
There are three modes for gamers to choose from: Free Roam, Challenge, and Career.
Related Video Games
This isn’t the first game where creators have taken everyday chores and turned them into video games.
From virtual farming to landscaping, pressure washing was another hit video game.
It’s All In The Name
In many cases, names of products and games do not match the experience.
That is not true in this situation.
It is shocking that such a glamorous and fulfilling gaming experience does not have a more exotic name.
Time will tell if there is demand for this game and just how realistic is it.
For instance, are weeds, edging, and skipped parts of the lawn part of the gaming scenarios?
In the meantime, interested players can keep themselves busy mowing their real lawns.
