Meri Brown, 50, one of Kody Brown’s four wives in the TLC show Sister Wives, is confronting tough times.

In addition to losing her mother Bonnie Ahlstrom at the age of 76 in March, Meri admitted in February on a sneak peek of one of the show’s episodes that her marriage was “dead.”

“The relationship between he and I, it’s gone. It’s dead. It’s over.”

She added:

“I’m really careful about pushing Kody, because I don’t want him to feel like I’m being demanding or pushy or anything like that. I feel like I’ve made it known to him enough where I want the relationship to go, as far as just moving forward. It’s best to leave the ball in his court.”

For his part, Kody said his three other relationships are more important than his marriage to Meri, his first wife whom he wed over 30 years ago.

Kody talked about their relationship on the show.

He said:

“There’s just been nothing going on between me and Meri. She interacts with the family for the holidays and birthdays. We get together once in a while. I see Meri once in a blue moon, but we quit dating and that’s just probably because I quit calling her to say, ‘Let’s go do something.”

It appears that Meri is still dealing with the fallout from her marriage and the loss of her mother five months later.

She took to Instagram to air her frustrations.

Meri said:

“Ever had those days, those weeks, those months, when things just keep HAPPENING? Doesn’t matter how much you work, how much you push, how much you try, something else comes up. Sometimes it’s just life…Sometimes you have to just learn something. Sometimes you’re being fully manipulated and you know it. Don’t worry. Power stance is ON!”

Her lengthy post also said:

“I’m BRAVE, I’m STRONG, I’m COURAGEOUS, and I WILL do this! I will find MY tribe, the people who will STAND with me and not push against me. THOSE are the people that matter.”

Though she does not mention her husband by name, it seems highly likely that these words are in reference to him and the status of their relationship.
