The Los Angeles Chargers should have no doubts about their quarterback of the future.
Justin Herbert has played at an elite level over the first three years of his career, and he has the stats to show it.
The 24-year-old quarterback added another impressive milestone to his young career this past Sunday.
He passed Peyton Manning for the second-most passing yards for a quarterback in their first three seasons.
His 12,354 yards so far in this career rank only behind Andrew Luck through a player’s first three seasons.
The Chargers quarterback seems poised to pass Luck later this season.

Herbert has put up elite yardage numbers over the first two full seasons of his career.
Last season he threw for 5,014 yards and that ranked second in the NFL.
For a quarterback to put up the historic numbers Herbert does, you would think his team would have more success.
But, the Chargers have yet to make the playoffs with Herbert at the helm and they are on the outside looking in this year.
Making A Playoff Push
Los Angeles has a record of 6-5 this season and all of the pressure is on Herbert to will his team to the postseason.
Playing in the AFC West makes it tough for the Chargers to win the division, mostly due to the dominance of the Kansas City Chiefs.
So the Chargers will be fighting for a Wild Card spot for the rest of this season.
There will be a direct correlation between the play of Herbert and the Chargers’ playoff hopes.
If he continues to play great, they have a chance.
If not, their season will end at the beginning of January.
