The Los Angeles Chargers have been a frustrating team for their fanbase over the past few years.
After recently drafting Justin Herbert and signing him to a contract extension, fans believed this team was on to something spectacular.
While Herbert might be a phenomenal young talent, the team built around him has left something to be desired.
Once the team missed the playoffs in 2023, it was clear that a change needed to happen, which is why the team fired Brandon Staley from his post as head coach.
The team reacted quickly to replace him, adding Jim Harbaugh as the team’s newest head coach.
Harbaugh’s presence has, for the most part, quieted the fanbase’s fears about the organization’s future, but they can be further reassured by a graphic recently shared by the NFL on ESPN.
This graphic highlights Harbaugh’s track record with new teams, indicating he has helped them immensely.

Take his most recent stop, the University of Michigan, for example.
Before Harbaugh took over, this team’s winning pct was .417, which he improved to .781 throughout his tenure.
The graphic illustrates that the Chargers’ winning pct was .294 last season.
If his past is any indication of what will happen in 2024, the Chargers will have a legitimate chance to win the AFC West.
This division has been one of the toughest to break through in the league, as Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated for the better part of the past decade.
If Harbaugh is the coach many make him out to be, this team could see a complete turnaround next season.
