The Los Angeles Chargers are one team that has a remaining difficult schedule.
Last year, they could have made the playoffs with a win in their last game of the season.
However, they fell short with an overtime loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
While this is a new NFL season, they could see the same results.
But, can they finally make their return there?
Chargers Aren’t In A Good Position Currently To Make The Playoffs
Currently, the Chargers don’t control their own destiny as the playoff picture develops.
With the Chargers at 5-5, they are in ninth place in the playoff race.
Justin Herbert and The Chargers are currently out of the playoff picture for his 3rd consecutive year.
The Patriots who have been quarterbacked by Bailey Zappe at times this season are ahead of them, along with the Jets.
The Chargers are 1 game ahead of the ferocious Colts.

They currently need some help to move up, meaning teams ahead of them have to lose for them to make any waves.
However, they also need to win games, which might prove difficult.
In their remaining seven games, the Chargers face two teams who are playoff contenders.
But they also face two divisional rivals that always seem to give them fits.
While the Chargers have a chance, things aren’t going in their favor with the remaining schedule.
However, if the Patriots and New York Jets maintain their lead over the Chargers, they can’t make the playoffs.
Even if the Chargers win out, they need some losses from both teams who are ahead of them.
If this doesn’t happen, the Chargers can’t make the playoffs.
With this as the facts set before them, their road to the playoffs is very narrow.
