The outspoken Jalen Ramsey didn’t spare even Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
In a 2018 interview with GQ, Ramsey said about Allen, “I think [Josh] Allen is trash. I don’t care what nobody say. He’s trash. And it’s gonna show too. That’s a stupid draft pick to me.”
He shared that take months after the Bills took the former Wyoming standout with the seventh overall selection in the NFL Draft.
Ramsey added in that interview, “We play them this year, and I’m excited as hell. I hope he’s their starting quarterback. He played at Wyoming. Every time they played a big school—like, they played Iowa State, which is not a big school in my opinion because I went to Florida State, and he threw five interceptions, and they lost by a couple touchdowns or something like that.”
Unfortunately, the Los Angeles Rams cornerback provided bulletin board material that Allen will never forget.
Those statements motivated him to play at an elite level against the defensive back who questioned his capability.

The Sporting News tweeted, “Jalen Ramsey called Josh Allen ‘trash’ before ever facing him. In the three games against Ramsey, Allen is 3-0 with 11 total touchdowns.”
Aside from winning all of his matchups against Ramsey, Allen also collected 768 passing yards and 163 rushing yards in those games.
Ramsey A Non-Factor Against Allen And The Bills
To make matters worse, Ramsey played like a ghost during their 2022 season opener against the Bills.
Pro Football Focus writer Marcus Mosher pointed out that Ramsey allowed a perfect passer rating of 158.3 in Week 1, per PFF‘s initial grading.
He allowed six receptions for 124 yards and two touchdowns, including that deep strike from Allen to Stefon Diggs.
Meanwhile, Allen completed 26 of 31 passes for 297 yards and three touchdowns.
If someone played like trash in that game, it’s Ramsey, not Allen.
