Last season, the New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals pulled off a trade with minutes to spare before the deadline.
New York sent left-hander Jordan Montgomery to St. Louis in exchange for outfielder Harrison Bader.
The trade seems to have worked out just fine for both sides, as Montgomery has proven to be a steady force in the Cardinals rotation, while Bader has added some extra power to the Yankees lineup.
However, Bader hasn’t forgotten about St. Louis and still has great respect for the city, the fans, and the Cardinals.
After Wednesday’s game between the Yankees and Cardinals, Bader commented on his feelings towards St. Louis after the trade.
#Yankees CF Harrison Bader on his love the #STLCards & STL: "That city eats, sleeps & breathes St. Louis baseball & I was so grateful. When I look back on it, I’m not sad it ended; I’m happy it happened at all. I have so much love for St. Louis.” https://t.co/3XoKy0YxVj

Bader says that he is grateful for his time as a Cardinal and praised the City of St. Louis for its love for Cardinals baseball.
He says that when he looks back on his time in St. Louis, he isn’t sad that it ended.
Instead, he’s grateful that it happened.
Cardinals fans certainly are as well.
They enjoyed watching Bader hustle and make some impressive plays out in center field, while occasionally supplying a little bit of power.
There’s no doubt that Bader was a fan favorite in St. Louis and is missed.
But the feelings of respect are mutual.
The Cardinals still hold Bader in high regard as well.
He had more than his fair share of great moments wearing the Birds on the Bat, including an inside-the-park home run against the Baltimore Orioles.
And with him being a free agent at the end of the season, a reunion is always possible, barring a contract extension of course.
