New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll will have to do a lot of teaching this offseason, and he’s not wasting any moments.

The video above shows the former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator spending time with quarterback Daniel Jones.
While the audio is inaudible, it’s clear that he was giving pointers to the Duke alumnus.
A few seconds later, he was seen helping Saquon Barkley practice his catches.
Daboll repeated the drill until the Pro Bowl running back got it correctly.
He facilitated another drill wherein Barkley must return one football while catching the other.
These personal interactions might be his way to build stronger ties with his players.
It remains to be seen if his hands-on approach will do wonders in his first-ever head coaching stint.
The Giants Have Much Work To Do
Putting more points on the board might be an uphill battle for the Giants.
But that concern will be transformed if Daboll can replicate his success with the Bills.
It won’t be an easy ordeal because the Giants have been consistently in the NFC East’s cellar for the last five seasons.
They were in last place in the division after the 2017 and 2018 seasons with 3-13 and 5-11 records.
The Giants finished third in 2019 at 4-12, but they were only one game in front of the then-Washington Redskins.
Their 6-10 record in 2020 was good for second place, but all NFC East teams had records below .500.
Finally, they were back at the bottom in 2021 with a 4-13 slate.
Worst yet, the Giants finished 31st in total yards on offense and points per game.
Taking over the team will be an uphill battle for Daboll.
But starting on the right note might help him reap the rewards later.
