Carmelo Anthony enjoyed a phenomenal 19-year career in the NBA.
While Anthony didn’t win an NBA title, he still had a Hall of Fame career, averaging 22.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game.
There’s still a chance for a ring to come into the Anthony family, thanks to his son Kiyan Anthony being on the verge of beginning his professional basketball career.
The 16-year-old recently made headlines for being invited to Team USA’s youth basketball minicamp.
An emotional Carmelo Anthony reacted to the ‘full circle’ moment via the USA Basketball Junior Team on Twitter.
“I mean this is full circle,” Melo said.

Anthony gave everything he had to basketball for the majority of his life until retiring from the sport recently.
With his son being on the doorstep of a similar journey, it’s only obvious that Anthony was emotional.
Anthony explained how he was at the exact same stage back in 2001 when he was invited to Team USA junior team camp.
Kiyan is regarded as an elite draft prospect, and he’s expected to be a future NBA draft pick.
But he’s still a couple of years away from becoming a potential player in the biggest basketball league in the world.
Kiyan is eligible to be drafted into the NBA as part of the class of 2025.
Considering Carmelo is now retiring from the league, fans can expect him to be there for his son’s most important games.
Does Kiyan have what it takes to win a ring in the league in the future? Only time will tell.
