The NFL offseason has not been kind to the Arizona Cardinals after the team went through a forgettable season in which Arizona finished the 2022 campaign with a record of 4-13.
As if finishing dead last in the NFC West division and missing the playoffs wasn’t bad enough for the franchise, things have continued to fall apart during the offseason, with the future looking bleaker than ever in Arizona.
Along with parting ways with head coach Kliff Kingsbury and seeing superstar defensive end J.J. Watt decide to retire after the 2022 season, the team could make two major trades before the start of the 2023 NFL season.
DeAndre Hopkins has already been rumored to be on the trading block in Arizona, with the team prepared to move on from the superstar wide receiver, and now Pro Bowler Budda Baker has requested a trade sending shockwaves throughout the fan base.
After the news of Baker’s trade request became public on Friday, the three-time All-Pro safety took to Twitter with a message for Cardinals fans.
Love you cardinal fans!!!

Baker made a trade request to the Cardinals brass in February, but the team and the 27-year-old kept the news under wraps until now, which could mean a trade is imminent or the team is gauging interest around the league.
With Baker being arguably one of the best safeties in the game, the Cardinals might not find it all that difficult to trade him during the offseason.
It’ll be interesting to see if teams begin to express their interest in trading for Baker now that the news is out and what teams will try to make a move for him.
