This NFL offseason has been brutal, to say the least, for the Arizona Cardinals, as things have gotten worse and worse with every passing month for the once-promising franchise led by star quarterback Kyler Murray.
On Friday, the Cardinals took another significant blow publicly, with perennial Pro Bowler Budda Baker’s trade request becoming public.
Baker is the latest player on the struggling NFL franchise that expressed his discontent with the team and, as a result, wants to suit up elsewhere in the league.

The firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury was inevitable, and the writing was on the wall regarding how much football superstar J.J. Watt had left in him, making both departures predictable.
However, DeAndre Hopkins likely having played his last game for the Cardinals was surprising and is a costly loss if the team trades him at some point during this NFL offseason.
Budda Baker’s trade request might be even more costly for the Cardinals franchise as he was the backbone of the team’s defense and one of the team’s leaders in the locker room.
Needless to say, the 2023 NFL season will likely be forgettable, to say the least, for the Cardinals as the franchise tries to figure out the direction of the team moving forward and what moves need to be made.NEXT: A Cardinals Pro-Bowl Safety Has Requested A Trade, Fans React
