Jack Flaherty may be the X-factor for the St. Louis Cardinals in 2023, who are banking a lot on their current group of starting pitchers to carry them through the season.
Flaherty has dealt with more than his fair share of injury troubles over the course of his career.
The 27-year-old dealt with oblique and shoulder troubles in 2021 and experienced more issues with his arm in 2022, which limited him to nine starts.
But there is a growing sentiment among the fanbase that Flaherty may want out of St. Louis soon, a sentiment that one fan does not agree with, and explains why that is likely incorrect.
I love how Jack Flaherty has never said anything negative about the Cardinals or the city of St. Louis, yet people just assume he doesn't want to be here. There's no evidence of it whatsoever.
Edman wears a Chargers hat and nobody assumes he wants to be a Padre.

As seen in the tweet, the fan mentions that Flaherty has never once said anything bad about the Cardinals organization or the City of St. Louis, and truly relishes being part of such a historic organization.
During the early years of his career, Flaherty had formed a strong bond with Hall-of-Famer Bob Gibson, who taught him several valuable lessons about pitching.
Flaherty also has made clear on several occasions that he has tremendous respect for team legends Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina, both of whom have also served as mentors for the young right-hander.
Fans may believe the sentiment that he wants out because of an arbitration case from 2022.
The two sides required a hearing to determine his 2022 salary.
Flaherty ultimately won his case, but as this fan his mentioned, he still has not disparaged the Cardinals organization in any way, shape, or form, meaning the sentiment that he wants out of St. Louis is more than likely false.
