The San Francisco Giants are looking to make a splash in free agency.
After a down season that saw them finish 81-81, the Giants missed out on the postseason.
For a franchise with a rich tradition of winning, they realize changes need to be made.
It looks as if the Giants will spend big in this free-agency class.
They have shown interest in most of the top stars available, but they have one player in particular in mind.
That is outfielder Aaron Judge.
Coming off a historic season that saw Judge hit an AL record 62 home runs, he is looking for a massive payday.
San Francisco is more than willing to pay up for the AL MVP.
There is no question the Giants can sign Judge away from the New York Yankees.

Judge will be looking for a deal north of $300 million in total value.
After the season he had, the 30-year-old is well worth whatever teams are willing to pay him.
Recruiting Judge
San Francisco is seemingly pulling out all the stops to try and land the star outfielder.
They even had Bay Area legend Stephen Curry reach out to him.

Playing in San Francisco might not be as big a market as in New York, but the Giants fan base is strong.
Also, the Giants have been more successful on the field than the Yankees over the past decade.
San Francisco has won three World Championships since the last time the Yankees won in 2009.
Lastly, Judge is from California and he went to college at Fresno State.
The Giants are firmly in the race to sign Judge, and it will ultimately come down to which team agrees to pay him more.
