Even though he’s been one of the best players in the NBA for quite a while, it seems like people are taking Giannis Antetokounmpo for granted.
He continues to be the best player on one of the best teams in the league, and while he’s no longer No. 1 in player rankings, he should be pretty close to the top.
At least, that’s what NBA analyst Jason Timpf seems to believe.
As shared by “The Volume,” Timpf stated that Giannis is currently having the most underrated season in the league, going as far as to say that he would vote for him for MVP right now.
Timpf still believes that Nikola Jokic will win the award and is a better player than Giannis, mostly because he doesn’t think Giannis is a good half-court player and struggles to be the offensive initiator.
"I think Giannis is having a MASSIVELY underrated season, and I personally would give him the MVP"

However, he’s putting up big numbers and making sure to keep the Milwaukee Bucks afloat despite their struggles and personnel limitations.
As of now, the former Finals MVP is averaging 30.7 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game on a whopping 61.8% from the floor.
He’s a dominant force on both ends of the floor, and he’s also one of the most durable players in the game, even if he’s currently dealing with a sore Achilles.
There’s nothing ordinary about what he does; we just got used to it.
Then again, we should give credit where it’s due, and the Bucks would most likely be a Play-In Tournament team without the Greek Freak playing at this level.
