For the third year in a row, the Cleveland Browns have traded for an impactful wide receiver.
They desperately craved someone behind Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore on the depth chart, and they got one of the best young wideouts who became available.
The Denver Broncos will get a fifth and a sixth-round pick in return for Jerry Jeudy’s services.
They have officially given up on him, and that move will have massive financial implications for Sean Payton’s team.
As pointed out by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Broncos will now save close to $13 million in salary cap space with this trade.
The #Broncos save $12.987 million in 2024 cash and salary cap space by trading Jerry Jeudy, who now gets a fresh start in Cleveland as he enters the last year of his rookie contract.

Pelissero adds that Jeudy will finally get the fresh start he clearly needs.
The Alabama product has always been a promising player, and he’s showcased his route-running skills and speed at times.
However, he has yet to live up to the hype that comes with being a first-round pick.
To be fair, his quarterback situation hasn’t exactly been the best since he entered the league, and the best could be to come for him.
He’s entering the final year of his rookie deal, so he should be highly motivated to put up big numbers and get a lucrative contract extension to stay in Cleveland.
The Browns want to take their passing game to a whole new level and make sure to put the football in Deshaun Watson’s hands as early and often as possible.
Hopefully, Ken Dorsey and Kevin Stefanski will bring the best out of their new star WR.
