The Buffalo Bills have a new backup quarterback.
Mitch Trubisky will be back in Buffalo’s blistering cold.
He was released by the Pittsburgh Steelers at the beginning of the offseason, and he’s now back to backing up Josh Allen.
According to a report by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the former Chicago Bears QB signed a two-year deal worth $5.25 million, which includes $2.7 million guaranteed the season.

He adds that the deal could reach $8.45 million with incentives tied to playtime and wins.
Trubisky was once the No. 2 pick of the NFL Draft, but he failed to live up to the expectations.
He made five appearances (two starts) for the Steelers last season, losing both games as Kenny Pickett’s backup.
Now, the 29-year-old will be back under Sean McDermott’s tutelage.
He was already a backup in Buffalo during the 2021 season.
He’s coming off throwing for 632 yards with four touchdowns and five picks in his five appearances last season, and he hasn’t made more than seven appearances in a single season since he left the Chicago Bears back in 2020.
The Bills rallied late in the season to finish with an 11-6 record and win their fourth consecutive divisional crown, but they lost in the AFC Divisional Round to the Chiefs.
