This weekend, the St. Louis Cardinals will open up a three-game weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Sunday’s series finale will air exclusively on Peacock and will have an earlier start time.
The game will also have a different set of announcers than the local TV announcers for each team.
One of those announcers will be a familiar face to Cardinals fans.
Future Hall-of-Famer Albert Pujols retired at the end of the 2022 season, walking away alongside Yadier Molina.
However, he’ll get an opportunity to try something new on Sunday.
Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported the news of Pujols’ new gig on Twitter.
Well, well, well guess who is going to give TV a try?
Albert Pujols will be in the broadcast booth Sunday for the #stlcards game at PNC Park, a favorite haunt of his, and @caesardan has details on more TV in Pujols' future … https://t.co/My3Y9dOpYy

Pujols hit for a career .296 average over his 22 seasons.
He also hit 703 career home runs, had a slugging percentage of .544 an OPS of .918.
But on Sunday, he’ll have a chance to put his baseball expertise to some good use.
Pujols played 12 of his 22 seasons in St. Louis, while spending the other 10 with the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers.
His best years came in St. Louis.
And so, he’ll be announcing a game with a team he is quite familiar with.
Pujols won a Rookie of the Year Award, three MVPs, six Silver Slugger Awards, and two Gold Gloves during his career.
He also won two World Series rings with the team.
So naturally, Pujols will bring some great baseball knowledge with him as he tries his hand at a new gig.
His former teammate Adam Wainwright is still around as well, and Pujols may have some interesting stories to tell about the veteran right-hander.
