As the All-Star Game approaches along with all the festivities that come with it, we at least know that there is a lot of excitement coming.
We get a chance to see the best of the best in action against one another.
We’ve also got the Home Run Derby to look forward to.
Last night, it was revealed that St. Louis Cardinals slugger Albert Pujols will be competing in the Derby this year for the final time in his career.
SportsCenter tweeted the news about Pujols and his choice to compete in the 2022 Home Run Derby.
Pujols will go up against the likes of Juan Soto and Pete Alonso, among other sluggers.

One Last Ride
This gives Pujols the chance to give himself the ultimate prize.
Not only is he coming back to Los Angeles for the Derby and the All-Star Game, but he could also win it and give himself the perfect sendoff.
Fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers will be pleased to see him back in L.A. as he was adored there despite having only spent one season in Dodger Blue.
It would be fitting to see him win the Derby too.
This is the first time Pujols has been an All-Star since 2015, when he made it as a member of the Los Angeles Angels.
It’s also the first time he’s competed in the Home Run Derby since then.
Now, The Machine has a chance to amaze baseball fans in all walks of life with his power one last time.
Cardinals fans certainly hope he’ll win it, and Dodgers fans would be happy to see it too, especially in Dodger Stadium.
We’ll see if Pujols can get it done.
