After a long wait, the 2023 NFL season is finally here and the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to build off the momentum they established last year.
There is a lot of optimism surrounding the Jaguars as they’ve got a rising star in Trevor Lawrence and a full complement of weapons to help him carry the offense to new heights.
Jacksonville kicks off Week 1 on the road against their AFC South rivals the Indianapolis Colts and they find themselves in a close competition.
New addition Calvin Ridley has seemingly picked up where he left off after a year off from football as he was the recipient of Lawrence’s first touchdown pass of the season.
The Colts responded with a touchdown run courtesy of their rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson who looks as good as advertised.
However, Jacksonville and Lawrence were able to respond with another touchdown this time from Zay Jones who made a ridiculous grab in the end zone via NFL.

Lawrence throws an absolute dime toward the sideline and Jones is able to adjust to the ball and somehow manages to keep both feet inbound for the score.
The Jaguars quarterback made the pass look routine, though the degree of difficulty was definitely up there as not a lot of receivers would have been able to come down with that.
Divisional games always provide some noteworthy plays and this certainly falls under that category.
The Jaguars and Colts are just getting started and the second half should produce more highlight reels.
