The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t done him any favors, but Joe Burrow has still been the most dominant passer in the league.
Notably, it’s not particularly close.
The LSU product is leading the league in pass attempts (606), completions (432), passing yards (4,641), passing yards per game (290.1), and passing touchdowns (42).
Burrow did everything to keep his team afloat in a must-win game against the Denver Broncos.
He completed almost 80% of his passes for 412 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
That’s why, following the nail-biting win, HC Zac Taylor gave him the nod as the best player in the world.

That’s a bold statement to make, but when you watch him play, it’s hard to disagree.
He’s had no protection whatsoever, yet he continues to make big throw after big throw, regardless of the opposition or the coverage.
His defense and Zac Taylor’s questionable coaching have held him back every week, yet he continues to find ways to put his team on his shoulders and lead them to unlikely wins.
The Bengals’ slow start to the season now has them rooting for other teams to have a chance to make the playoffs.
With how Burrow has played this season, it would be a shame not to see him play after Week 18.
